Where does the roleplay take place?
Answer: Ashwick Grove, Connecticut. A smaller (fictional), college town in the state of Connecticut.
What timeline are we following?
Answer: The roleplay is in current time. That means whatever today is, the roleplay is on the very same day.
Are the vampires out of the ‘coffin’ in Ashwick?
Answer: That is up to each individual vampire. If they feel inclined to be ‘out’… they may be. Most vampires are either so fed up with hiding that they just assume be out or have other reasons in order to keep their true being hidden.
Are the other supernaturals out as well?
Answer: No, the witches and werewolves are not out to the public. As far as the human population knows, the other creatures from their nightmares are just story book creatures.
Can supernaturals sense each other?
Answer: Yes, but not by their typical senses. Werewolves and vampires do NOT smell bad to one another (unless the being has bad hygiene) like they do in Twilight. They can, however, sense that there is another supernatural in their presence. Typically, they sense it by a pricking feeling, like the hair standing up on the back of their neck. Because the werewolves in town are in a pack, they do know about each other and any other supe they sense is believed to be a vampire (unless proven otherwise). Werewolves and vampires can NOT sense witches. Witches, however, can sense vampires and werewolves, but only through touch. Whether it be, the wolf or vamp touches them or they touch the wolf or vamp. And yes, witches can sense the difference.
Can humans sometimes tell the differences between vampires and werewolves?
Answer: Yes, but it is typically ignored or brushed off their shoulders. There is a slight difference in body temperatures between wolves, vampires, and humans. Werewolves run at a slightly higher body temperature, but nothing that would burn. It would just feel like they were a few degrees warmer than the average human (and they are). And vampires will feel slightly colder (though not freezing). Nothing too alarming.
Can vampires turn werewolves into vampires?
Answer: No. Never. Not even with the help of a witch.
Can witches turn into vampires?
Answer: Yes, because they are human, but their magic power dies with their heart beat. No one knows why this is, but it is assumed that it is linked to the heart being the core of the soul.
How is one turned into a vampire?
Answer: A human must be drained of the majority of their blood and then fed vampire blood directly from the source. And finally, the vampire must kill their progeny to seal the process.
